Re: Phoenix gas shortage

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That makes so much more sense now!! I was really impressed with the Dodge Caravan. Never mind, sorry, yesterday was a long, monotonous day, and apparently my brain was fried.

I took my G down to Tucson AZ to visit a friend. It was my first road trip in the G and I was in heaven. In a 90 min drive I was only passed once and I passed everyone on the road with absolutely no problem. Most of the time my car didn’t even have to down shift to pass and I had a hard time keeping it below 90! Also took it for a weekend in Cali (went to Magic Mountain). It is such a great car for road trips. It was definitely much nicer to take than our S2K. Comfy, quieter, nicer ride, 6 disc changer, can hold more than two people and their luggage…I do love my car!

You are redeemed. Thanks for the reply I was running out of Rolaids...

My brother and I are going up to Vegas (flying) in October to blow off some steam I can hardly wait. I love that place. What happens in Vegas...stays in Vegas.

I am a little worried about taking the G on road trips with 20" wheels. I would freak out if I hit some crap on the highway and messed up a wheel! How was your recent drive? Any construction or notables?

Re: Phoenix gas shortage

Just in case anyone’s curious. I drove my G like a granny after I filled up my tank at the beginning of the gas shortage. I just filled it up again and I actually broke 20 MPG. I got 20.4 MPG to be exact. I’m not complaining, but now I’ve proven to myself that there’s no point in trying to conserve gas. That’s the best MPG that I am capable of, so I’m just going to lean back and enjoy the ride from now on!
