New meats on the way!

I just ordered some new tires for my stock 18s - Nitto NT 555. I needed something pretty quiet, and from what I can tell, these will be great. They will be replacing the BFG g-force T/A KDW NTs that are on it now. I cannot stand these tires - the noise is driving me and my passengers crazy! Anyway, I hope the Nittos will be a lot quieter.

As a side note, I got these from Luke at Discount Tire Direct. He's a great guy to speak with and very helpful. Even before the extra little discount he gave me, I couldn't find these tires cheaper anywhere else on the net. $580 shipped UPS, plus an extra $80 for road-hazard warranty.

Anyway, I hope to have these babies on by Friday. I'll let you know how they do. Let me know your experiences with these tires.

BTW, if anybody wants the old tires, I'll give them to you if you pay for shipping or pick them up. They've got decent tread, though I haven't measured it, but I'm not going to try to sell them. Let me know before Friday and I'll get UPS to ship them.

The Nitto is a decent tire. Some hate them, some love them. But if wanted a quiet tire, you should've looked into Falken ST115.

^^^Exactly. The Nitto 555 is definitely not known for being a quiet tire.

I can't seem to find the Falkens in 225/45/18s. I considered them, but I'm not going to screw with the engineers on this car with regards to the tire size. I'll let y'all know what I think of them once I get a couple hundred miles on them.

or even the Ziex512's, if they come in that size.

nitto's are mediocer tires and they will start to roar pretty loud once worn in.
