Sport springs/shocks on non-Sport Sedan?
Sport springs/shocks on non-Sport Sedan?
I'd pretty much like to keep the car as close to OEM as possible in regards to the suspension. Has anyone upgrading a non-Sport Sedan to a Sport Sedan with the Sport's springs and shocks? Any ideas what the impact might be if I put Sport springs on my sedan with the non-Sport shocks? Anyone know what the costs of the Sport springs/shocks would be?

Re: Sport springs/shocks on non-Sport Sedan?
I recently had a non sport loaner car and ran it around liked I owned it. I can tell you one thing, do not put the springs off the sedan with sport on your stock non sport dampener's. Their valved on the soft side and installing stiffer springs on them would only make things worse. If you going to do anything on this line of thought, install the sport springs and struts. But before you even do that, see if you can take a test drive again in a sport sedan and make sure it's firmer ride is ok with you. One thing I noticed on the non sport is that at the limit it wanted bring the tail out more and once it did it wanted to continue that momentem. And, even with a automatic, weight transfer was more noticable than on the sport. Ride was nice, but not enough spring and dampener power, which is how they made the ride nicer.
As far a $$$ for someone's stock sport springs and struts. That's a tuff one. Unlike the 350Z, were lot's of Z owners have removed their springs and struts because they HATE them, no sedan owner has said that. And the amount of sedan's with coilover install's is on the low side, that doesn't help either. I only paid $150 for my 350Z springs and struts. But like I said, lot's of Z owners have removed their's because they hate them. I took full advantage of a crowded selling field of hated cast off's. I dunno, I'd start with the notion that $400 would be to much and work down from that, depending on mileage. And no, I'm not willing to sell mine, I'm holding them for whenever I sell the car, they only have 500 miles on them and their not going anywhere, sorry.
