Arggggg. My new Volk SF Winnings are here, but.

Just got a call from Chris at F1. He said that the good news is that my Volks wheels have made it to our shores. The bad news is that my 255/285/35x19 Toyo T1R's are on backorder. LOL . . . I wish he hadn't called.

Chris, you are still the man!

LOL . . . I saw your post with regard to the same set-up. I was planning on sending you a PM. Well, Chris is going to check again on Monday. I hope he finds them for me. The wheels came in quicker than I had expected, but I didn't expect that the tires were going to be an issue. Oh well . . .

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. My current issue is replacing the HDD on my personal rig. The HDD crashed a couple of nights, ago. I dislike using our desktops . . . Gotta love my wife's 17" PowerBook. Off to search for alternate tires.

Good luck Andy! It's a grueling wait, I'm going on 11 weeks for my wheels.

Hey, what do you folks think about the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's?

Easily some of the best tires money can buy. I was going to get these on my aftermarket 19 inch wheels but the cost of them kept me away. From the information I gathered they were also overkill for my own particular needs because I never take my car to the track or do Auto-X.

I decided to spend a bit less and go with the goodyear eagle F1 GSD 3's...I'll write up a review once I actually get my new ride, with the wheels mounted on there.

Those are in a different price league from the T1R's. Although they do have excellent performance, tread wear is marginal.

Have you given any thought to the BFGoodrich KDW2s? These are some of the best tires I've ever had.
