Proxes tires, by Toyo?

The local Les Schwab has great deal on Toyo Proxes tires right now.

Does anybody have these, or have advice about the quality of them?

I had 20" Toyo Proxes4 and hated them with passion. They are marketed as an all season high performance tire. The road noise was too much for me to handle and the performance, was far from "high performance".

I got the T1R's also only had them for about 500 miles. So far so good... the dry performance is good... dunno about the wet... cause its been nothing but sunny-ness here in so cali. Road noise i hear will come later on in another couple hundred miles... atleast thats what sen_jen said (but i believe him)

I also have the T1R's and so far so good. Great dry weather traction and it is a softer compound so it shouldn't get noisy.

Hmmmm . . . I'll find out what the carwash uses cuz whatever they use sticks really well and keeps my tires shiny for pretty much the whole week.

proxes aren't the same as t1-r's. They are an all season "performance" tire, but pretty much suck in all categories, noise, performance, wear etc.

I just saw the movie Fast & Furious Tokyo, and they all use T1rs on all the cars for drifting. So I think its pretty good LOL. I have them on my car as well and they are really good tires.

BTW it was a great movie, none of the BS star trek warp speed effect.

I just ordered some T1R Toyos for my car. My stocks are on their way out, and I hate the stocks with the passion so I decided to go with Toyos. I ordered 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 for the stock 19s. I have read another member had a good experience with this size (think he has 275/35 instead of 275/30 in rear). I will let you guys know how it works out.

On a side note, the new tires come tomorrow, so the next 3 days is going to be nothing but burnouts and donuts!
