just to add to it a little bit, Axis either makes replicas of some Advans or has rights to rebadge them, Axis reverb is the same as the TC5 (the hollow spoke 5-star wheel) same with Roja.

I like the Kai replicas, torn between those and a set of MB Battles which are also a replica wheel of an Advan design. I like the racier looking wheels, not into lips so much unless i come across a set of BBS LM's

Axis makes knockoffs. No licensing or rights to anything.

I have cheap a$$ Enkei rims on my car and I don't give a F*ck what anyone else thinks. They are also 18x7.5 and I still don't give a f*ck what anyone else thinks. I like them and that is all that matters. The moral of this story is get what you want/can afford and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. I say get some gay a$$ 30" spinners if thats what you want; it's your car and your money!!!

You use the Enkei brand as if it's bad. Enkei makes very good wheels under their own label and also for many other companies, although more so in certain lines than others.

If Rotas are cheap knock-offs how come they're priced like premium wheels? The Torques run 700+ in 18s, definitely not bargain priced for a smallish wheel.

Nevermind, looks like the pricing is all outta wack depending on where you look. Vivid lists them in the 260 range, that makes more sense

Compared to the wheels they're replicating that is still 50%+ cheaper than the namebrand and I feel any wheel combo bought for less than $1000 is still a bargain when in most cases that will only get you two wheels from the high end manufacturers.

Price has little to do with wheel size I feel ($30 difference from 18-19), price has everything to do with quality measures, materials and engineering etc.

Premium wheels cost $700? I don't consider anything "premium" unless they retail for over $2k. I'm not saying "good" wheels go for over 2k, just what is considered "premium"

Just get what you like. Don't say things like "Not all of us want to be like "EVERYONE" and get VOLKS" and want to be different just for the sake of being different.

All you really need to know are the facts:

Cheaper cast rims will not withstand as much abuse as more expensive forged rims given the same driving style, road conditions, and tire.

Don't misunderstand me, I know the value of a quality wheel and how they're constructed, it just appeared at first glance as though the Rotas were 700-800 per wheel in 18s, which is no bargain for a 'knock-off' wheel. 250 a piece for a heavy cast chinese made wheel that approximates the look, well, you decide what works for you. I'm still blown away that vendors expect 800/per for some of these Rotas is all. That much will get you some legit RH or other wheels. 'Premium' probably wasn't the right word considering the Volk/Work audience, but if there are only 2 categories, you get the idea.

Few places here in town price them at 250-300 a wheel depending on model, but had some for 800 a set, didn't clarify that first time we spoke, hence the confusion. In any case, didn't mean to beat a dead horse, saw a set on a Maxima last night and wanted to research.

There is another Rota Thread here

Most Rota wheels run between 800-950 per set(4 wheels) depending on size
