Smile Butler Tire stepped up.

Changing this as Butler Tire made everything right and we have had a long-standing relationship built on good service since.

get your evidence and story to an attorney - take pics - see if he can take care of it and recover court costs in small claims court...

file complaint to BBB

even better - if you paid for your wheels through your credit card, they should warranty against this kind of mishap for 90 days or so... (at least my AMEX does)

also - you can contact your insurance agent and see if they can go after these guys...

good luck!

man, that really sucks.

Not sure why your first tire store could not balance your wheels.

Not sure why your second tire store could careless about customer's
brand new set of wheels. that's really sad.

btw, tirerack has some nice standard narrow lugs for like $25 shipped.
the OE lugs are kinda big for some aftermarket wheels...i don't
use them on my SSR's.

ouch. they definitely did not wrap anything on their sockets.

but if you look at most people's wheels (including dealer serviced wheels),
they all look like that, unfortunately. dealer doens't seem to care either...
another reason why i don't take my SSR's to the dealer. when i get new
tires, i remove the wheels from the car and roll them in.

car looks good btw.

That's happened to my stock rims. The sockets they use are so worn out that they wobble as they spin. The best thing you guys with expensive wheels can do is ask that they do not use air impacts to remove and replace your wheels. Make them do it the old fashioned way, by hand and finish with a torque wrench.

hm...I guess your both at fault. You should have inspected there work before leaving. When you take the keys to your car and pay you are accepting the work that was performed. Always check over a mechanics work...no matter how small the task was. I would say a reasonible solution would to split the cost of repairs...might want to try that route.

i know the feeling...i went to a Tire Kingdom(in Orange Park, nearby Jacksonville) and ill never go there again...when they mount there wheels...they scratched 4 wheels on 4 diff spots...i went in and complained...and nothing happened...bottom line is, i feel ur pain, i hope u get them to pay for ur losses, because thats BS...if they are not able to do a good job and keep everything right...u shouldnt have to pay them...and they should pay for the expenses to be fixed...but good luck man...
