Lugnut size for Volks wheels

Today i wanted to take off my tires to clean one of them. Don't ask me why i have to take it it out there like a huge black stain that i cant clean without taking off the tire. Well when i jacked up the car and tried to remove the lugs my stock lug wrench did not fit. I'm thinking its the lugs that came with the rims. My question is does anyone know the Size of the lug?

Your lug nuts should have came with a key or extension socket. Do you know what kind of lug nuts you have?

a. I assume you had a shop install your wheels? had to have been or else you would know what size lugnut was used.

b. I assume when you say does not fit, you mean the stock lug wrench will fit the lug hole on the wheel, but is either too small or too big for the actual lugnut.

if that is the case, the shop must have used different lugs than the ones that came from the factory. you need to call the shop or use some sockets to determine the size.

i must assume B is not true since most Volk wheels will not allow the stock lug wrench to even fit inside the lug hole. again, you'll need to find a socket that'll fit over the lugnut and use a breaker bar/socket wrench to get the wheel off.

this is such an obvious situation I am surprised you posted this online. i must be missing something...oh wells, good luck

so? you tried different size sockets?

the lugs are prolly either 19 mm or 21 mm, if you have Volk GT-C, which I highly doubt, than the lugs should have come with a key

Your best bet is to go back to F1 then. Or try to get us some pics or something. There are just too many diffrent kinds of lugs out there. More than likely you're missing the key for them. And if they don't need a special key, then you better get some diffrent lugs to help protect those rims!

I got winnings. I don't think they need a special key for the lugs. When i tried to put the stock wrench in it was too big for it. I was planning on getting some rays lug nuts in black. Probuly going to goto f1 on tuesday to buy it. Are those lugs any good?

wow...i guess if you're looking for an excuse to get aftermarket lug nuts, than this one will do.

it's obvious the stock lug wrench that you get out of your trunk is not gonna fit the lug hole. I;d be surprised if you did get it to fit.

did you try a 19 mm or 21 mm socket? or do you really just want to get these Rays Lugs?

Nah..I never tried it yet. But i think mine is 19mm the lugs looks realyl small. How much you think i can get rays lugs for. I remember talking to chris about it he said that rays only makes 4 wheel lock sizes. So that mean if some1 else has them u have liek a 4-1 chance of having the same wheel lock key. HOw much could these rays lugs run for me and what size are the lugs?

I think Rays lugs are a waste of money, but thats just my opinion. They are like $120 or so. If you got that much money to spend on lug nuts, then go for it. But IMO, I could use that elsewhere.

got mine off of ebay for $103 shipped. don't want to take the time to measure. they do cost a lot for lug nuts. people will argue they are light, but you buy these nuts for the look/color. For my car, it's all in the details, so the price I paid was well worth it.

there are other lug nuts out in the market. you don't need these lugs. but they are real light compared to OEM. almost feel like plastic. good luck. no more posting in this thread for me

The lug nuts for your OEM wheels should be 21mm. The lugs that came with my Winnings from Chris at F1 were 19mm. I asked Chris in advance before my wheels showed up. I wanted to throw those babies on right when they got to me.
