installed 350Z springs/struts

installed the 350Z springs and struts on my Sedan today. i must say it is quite a difference. much more sure-footed. not so low that it scratches on my relatively steep driveway. almost no more body-roll. and i love the lowered feeling. the 1 con is that my camber is a bit screwy. i turned right onto the freeway onramp today and hit the throttle like im used to and my tires screeched becuase of the lesser tire-contact. it was a nice show, but isnt great for my tires. all in all, well worth it. btw, the bounce isnt as bad as all the 350Z princess's are saying it is. my lowered prelude was much much worse. will try to post up pix tomorrow

Re: installed 350Z springs/struts

You finally installed them. In making your comment on the bounce issue. How many miles have you put on the setup? And compairing what you have now to what was a bad choice for sturts on the prelude, doesn't make the bounce that the Z setup has, acceptable. If I paid $800 for my Z setup, given how much bounce I have I would be a very angry person, but at $150, I can overlook it and get all the behavioral improments too.

If you go to my350Z.com and run a search on "bounce" you will be a ton of hit's. It's not a trivial issue.

Re: installed 350Z springs/struts

hahaa, admittedly, i havent put that many miles, and on the stretch of road to my house that is full of those annoying cracks in the road, my car was bouncing like a inflatable moon bouncer. however, personally, i barely notice it as i drove that stinkin prelude. =) and yes, the 140 dollars i paid makes it all the more worth it to put up with bounce. i can understand where the 350Z guys might be pissed that a 35000 dollar car would bounce like that.
here are my pix too:
