How much to pay for Rolling Fenders

I posted this up in the Socal forum but I thought I'd also post here as well....

I wanted to ask how much is a fair price to pay to have only my rear fenders rolled?

Also, if some one knows a good place to get this done in Los Angeles I'd appreciate the recommendation.

Thanks a lot,
Mike

I just spoke to F1 and they said they no longer roll fenders because it's old school. They said the cut them.

Anyone know anything about this?

I had my rear fenders rolled for $100 up here in the Bay Area. They did an excellent job. I had thought about using a pair of electric double cuts and trimming the fenders myself, but decided against it. I figured that the paint/seal to the metal would be breached and I didn't want to have to worry about sealing the exposed metals to prevent future oxidizing issues.

I guess either way would work . . . But if you have your fenders cut . . . Be sure to seal the cut edges of the fenders.

Ya, I had my fenders cut/shaved from them when I got my springs installed because I was rubbing. Its fine, I personally would alwasy cut or shave off the fenders then rolling. It can cause the paint to crack. F1 do a great job.

one good thing about rolling the fenders is that since you have a rounded over edge if you get the occational rub it won't slice the tire. with a Shaved/cut lip you still have a sharp edge so it can slice your tire. I paid $70 a fender, it's seems to be a little high, but not too many places do it anymore.

If you are in southern california you can go to Street Image. I think it was 100$ to get my fenders rolled with a machine.

at street image they quoted me pretty high like 40 a fender and they were giving me all these excuses too.. it pretty much seemed like they didnt want to do the job for me. They were giving me the list of potential problems and how they're not responsible if this and that happens.. he sounded pretty uneasy. So.............. that didnt make me very comfortable so i just cut mine at f1.

40 a fender is cheap. every place is going to give you the disclaimers, cause theres always a possiblity that the paint will crack or the fender will ripple.
