***MEATY*** tires
Apparently my goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's are suposed to have a sidewall that protects rims... but I don't know if it actually works, and I don't plan on testing it.

What size wheels are you running? I have 245/275-40-19 Hankook Ventus K107's on 19x8.5, 19x9.5 inch wheels. The sidewalls are taller and the ride quality is much improved over the 35 series Toyo's I had before.

say no to swampers!!
I have Falken FK-452, they are meaty in the sense they have a tread rating of 300. 245/35/19 front 255/40/19 rear on oem rims. Fits nice and flush, rides not as quiet as I had hoped.
any tire above 17/18 is gonna have noise you just can't avoid. they're performance tires. it's what they do. also, yes, the new Falken FK452's aren't as thin as the older model, but they still offer a better than fattie look/clearance level.
