Does this ever heappen to you guys. (people with rims)

I was driving today and the grand central (NYC) and when I got home I realized that the lip of my rear rim had a scratch on it, and not on the outer part which I usually see some everythime I wash my car and I have no idea how they get there, but this was on the lip itself, on a part of the 5 inch lip. I was wondering do you guys ever get these scratches and have not idea how they get there? I cant be mad because its one of those things where you cant do anything about, but its weir how they pop up out of the blue. It seems like every time I was my car a new small scratch appears on the edge of my lip and I have no idea how since I have never curbed them. Anyway, does this ever happen to you guys and is there a way to fix it ar make it better. Will wheel polish do the job or at least make them less visible, it always works on the little scratches that appear on the edge of the lip, whast do you guys think?

it's normal wear and tear type ish. rocks/pebbles/debris is kicked up greatly and always gets tossed around in that frying pan. you can't avoid it.

^^^ Exactly right...small pebbles get bounces around the rim...If you have a deep dish style rim it gets even worse for that. Its like putting rocks in the dryer.
