volk cleaning/tireshine

I'm getting my first set of volks in later today and just wondering. 1) what type of soap is safe for the wheels, 2) what type of tire shine is safe for the wheels. I tried searching but came up short. Any help would be much appreciated as I really don't want to ruin the wheels.

there is a lot of info in the detail forums, but in general I always say do not use something to clean/wash your wheels that you would not use to clean/wash your car.
