Can the G35 coupe accept thinner tires?

Can the G35 coupe accept thinner tires?
I need to buy a set of snow tires and rims for them. I'm planning on getting all 4 the same width (probably 225/50-17"). Would that cause a problem (other than handling) for the car since the stock tires have different width front and back?
