RIM-tarded
RIM-tarded
I'm looking to buy new rims for my G35 coupe w/ 18" package, but I have no idea what type of rims would fit; next to the lug pattern, I'm not sure what all the numbers mean [offsets, diameters, etc...] and how these numbers affect fitting/performance/looks. If anyone could break it down for me or link me to a website that will enlighten me, I'd be indebted to you.
Also, do all Volk TE37/LE37's fit on our cars? Would 18 X 7.5 in size, lug pattern is 5X114.3 with an offset of +48mm work for g35 coupe? Is the offset too high?

Re: RIM-tarded
I ordered Volk gunmetal LE37 19"x9.5 rims for my blk/blk coupe 11 weeks ago and I'm still waiting another 4-8 weeks to receive them. Order soon, 'cause you have a long wait. I chose +22 offset 'cause I like the spokes concave/bowl look. If you like the flat spokes, go for something higher. If you like a deeeeep dish, get rims that are 10.5 wide but plan on rolling your fenders. Get them from someone who specializes in these cars to avoid confusion. Remember,

Re: RIM-tarded
The lug pattern you need is 5x114.3
Now for offsets for you car. Don't go higher than +35. The higher the offset you go, the move the rim is tucked in the fenders. +48 is wayyy too high. It will make you car look like a skateboard from the rear.
Try to be in this range: +20~+35
The lower the offset, the more the rim is closer to the edge of your fenders (this will also get you a bigger lip if the interests you).
The higher the offset, the more tucked in the rim will be with the fender and wheel well.
If you are looking at VOLK, especially the 37 series, it all depends how you want it to look. For our cars (G35C) I would go 19x8.5 +22A front, 19x9.5 +22B rear. This is a safe setup where you do not have to roll your fenders and you won't have anyproblems if you lower your car. Just run 245/35/19 front tires; 275/35/19 rear tires.
Check this link out it might help you understand a bit on backspacing, offsets, and pitch.
