Depending on where you go, you will pay $100-$200 per wheel to chrome the lips. Search for pix of my 2005 Laser Red 6MT G coupe. I had Lexion x503 wheels that had chrome lips. They were so easy to clean.

Well good news today...I went to the dealership to talk about my rims with the owner. Well he had me come into the detail shop and watch them clean my rims. Then they tried a polish to get the discolor out. When that didn't work they admitted to a problem and said they would help to get it fixed! They were very considerate and reasonable about everything. So now I just hope everything goes well and I get the problem fixed

O and one more thing a little off topic.... one of the workers I was talking to before they looked at my rims said the 08 coupe is gonna have a v8 in it....donno if it's true but he said it wasn't going to have the v6 the 07 sedan has when I said I heard it was going to have the V6. So i just wanted to mention that and that I'm just saying what I was told.

The place I went to (Magmasters) charged me $100/wheel. Fortunately, in my case the Car Wash that fvcked them up picked up the tab. I asked about re-clearcoating my rims, but they told me it would not look as good as it did when it was new. Personally, I would have the lips chromed like Hex suggested. I am contemplating on doing this as well b/c upkeep is a b!tch.

Congrats. If they are not going to replace the wheels, definitely think about having the lips chromed. It will save you a lot of aggrivation (sp?) in the future.

That's what I want to do with my challenges, hopefully in the near future. Or maybe I'll wait until the dealer messes up my rims
