TPMS Sensor on new wheels?

for those of you who have aftermarket wheels, does your tire pressure sensor still works?

I don't have tpms on my racing harts. The only time the indicator goes on is when I'm driving 80+ mph for longer than 20 minutes. I just turn the car off and start it back up to get rid of the indicator.

My TPS light is always on... my Volks wont work with the TPS because of their design - I could band them to the wheels, but I decided not to hassle with it. People say the dealer can turn off the light, but I called around and none of the local dealers would do it.
