Does anyone know if the Axis Milano rims are forged? I'm thinking about getting these for my coupe. I think they look great, I just want to make sure they're quality rims too.

yes, they are definitely cast. but, according to several online sources, they appear to be pretty light for cast rims. i believe about 24 lbs for the 19" wheels.

 

cast light rims makes you wonder how strong the wheels are.... The only rims that are cast and are good quality is probably Advan, BBS, OZ, and Antera. Some of them use a technology called gravity casting which allows stronger rims and lighter rims than ordinary casting. I doubt the Axis wheels are gravity casted.

i don't know how strong the milano are, but from other axis rim owners, they appear to be pretty good quality rims. however, the milano rims are their newest design. so, who knows the quality at this point.

curiously, i was interested in the ssr gt3's as well, which are forged. however, they appear to be heavier than the cast axis milano wheels?!?!?

 

the GT3's are heavier because its a 3 piece wheel I believe.
