Exclamation Any run a 245/45 on a 7.5" rim?

I was told by TireRack that yes a 245/45/18 will fit an 18x7.5 rim. My question is whether or not anyone on here has actually done this and what the effect was.

Thanks!

yes it will mount on the rim. But it will bulge over the lip of the wheel. It will be quite noticeable since you're going with 245/45. I would consider 235/45/18 for that size wheel.

Thanks! I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. That gives me a much better idea of what will happen. From what Trey and I could tell it shouldn't even really fit and I guess you just explained why.

no problem. take a look at the '05 OEM sport 18" wheels. those come with 235/45/18 and you will see exactly how your set up will look with those tires.

I run a 245/45/18 Continental ExtremeContact and it doesn't "buldge" much at all. In fact, it's not much more noticeable vs the stock tires. This is on the 18x7.5 sport wheels.

I do think it varies from tire to tire, though.
