metal weight inside of the wheels???

metal weight inside of the wheels???

i was cleaning my car and noticed a couple of square metal weights double-side taped to the inside wall of each wheel. is someone spying on me...j/k...but would like to know what they are. thanks for any insight.

They are weights to balance your wheel. You know when they mount a new tire and stick it on that thing that spins it? They are checking to see if the imperfections in the tire will make the wheel vibrate while spinning, and then sticking weights in it so it's nicely balanced.
