Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

I think ya did good going with the Aero's rather than the Flux. I really like the 5 star pattern better than the 6. It just looks cleaner for some reason to me. I also like the brushed Alum alot more than the polished. The polished to me is a little to bling bling. I am going with the Aeros, brushed Alum. Are the lips on all Brushed Alums polished?. or is there a choice?. I think it looks pretty good with the lips polished and the spokes brushed. I am going with the Forged series.

By the way, whos the blond?... Shes cute...

Very nice looking ride man, I have read about your car on here. You put a lot of time in that, Congrats.

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

I put in an order for the exact wheels you want about a month ago. They said it would be ready in 2-3 weeks. I got the wheels in the RS series which is the two piece. I ordered 19x8 front and 19x10 rear in brushed aluminum centers and rivots. the front lip is 2 inches and rear is 3 3/4 inches. I fell in love with the wheels after seeing edretti's car, but I didnt have the bucks for the 20s. plus i'm in nyc and didnt want to deal with the roads with such nice wheels.

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

Ok now a stupid question, forgive me. 245/35 on the front and 285/30 on your rears. Whats the second number there? the 35 and 30 ? Is that the height of sidewall? Are your fronts meatier than your rears on the sidewall?. Forgive my ignorance in that area, but thats why I am here to learn.
Thanks

Great taste G35Art.

You are in good company. Wow only 2-3 weeks to get thats not bad at all. Are the FS series wheels the same lead time?...

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes the lips are polished. The show was First Place at the IDRC East Coast Nationals at Maryland International Raceway in September. The cute blonde was the prize! (i wish). Also the 30 and 35#'s is the height of the tire. You have to go with that set up in order to keep the speedometer as close as possible and so the rear tires don't rub on turns. I also recommend going with 285's in the rear. Those tires are even with the rim vs. having the rim stick out further then the tire. Best of luck and look forward to seeing your guys cars.

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

DAMN Edretti,

I just finished checkn out you car via your link. Holy Crap man, I spent like 45 miniutes just crapping myself. All I can say is wow. very nice set up, Nitros and all. I liked seeing your Injen CAI as well, I have my K&N in polished blue on order and that gave me a nice glimps of what it will look like at completion.
I'm going with 19's on the wheels and will take your word on the 285's on the rears but want my rears more meaty than the fronts to keep the lean of the car as aggressive as I can.
Is there anyway to go 35's rear and 30's front? or will that destabalize the natural stagger?
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks alot I appreciate the insight of a "pro"

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

Very nice,
I just saw your thread and I like your car, I was also thinking about red for my calipars. But cant have a exact duplicate car running around out there, so I will probably go with Silver on em.
I am also thinking about goin with 30's on the fronts instead of 35's and keep the back 35's. you have 8.0 in front and 10.0 on the rears of those Aero's?
Nice ride.

Re: Thinking about iForged wheels.

245/35/19 is the closest to the overall stock height for the front. 35 is percentage of sidewall height to width. Therefore, a 245/35/19 will have less sidewall than a 285/35/19 would. This setup is optimal as it is very close to the overall stock #'s so your speedometer is still accurate. The stock 18's are 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 - even though the %'s are the same, the rears have a bigger diameter because they have more sidewall. Hope this made sense.
