Another winter tire question...

this site says you can get just 2 snow tires if you have rwd.. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...odeIndex=70304 is that correct? will it be that much worse than 4 snow tires?

The problem with only 2 is that your front tires are the ones that steer and do most of the braking. By putting two snows on the rear (drive) wheels, you've now created a machine that can go better, but can't turn or stop better. Not a good combination in bad weather conditions.

You don't want to put only 2 snow tires on the front, as then you can get into situations where the rear looses traction and you'll spin out, and there's nothing the VDC system can do to save you.

now the only problem seems to be finding anywhere that has 4 tires...
