Recommended PSI

Hi,

My coupe came with 17" rims and tires which I replaced with the 18" performance tires. What is the recommended PSI for the 18 inch rims and tires? Usually it says it on the inside of the door but since I upgraded I dont know what to keep the tire pressure at. Anyone with the performance package tires with an answer for me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Recommended PSI

It also should say on the tire sidewall.

Re: Recommended PSI

The recommended tire pressure for the 18" Pilot Sports on the coupe is 35 psi for all 4 tires - per the door plate and the owners manual.
I have been running this pressure and it seems OK. You can probably run a little less for a smoother ride but I don't know how it affects handling.

Re: Recommended PSI

yeah, i agree. I've tried lots of different tire pressures and every source said different things, but 35 seems to be a good pressure. But make sure that's the pressure at cold temp.

Re: Recommended PSI

Saridi, I keep mine at the same as the summer tires, (35) and they seem to be fine. Just make sure you don't exceed the max. recommended pressure (cold) which you'll find on the sidewall.

Re: Recommended PSI

From what information i've gather. The air pressure remains the same wether you have 17's, 18's, 19's, or 20's. Use the recommended psi (on your door) for normal driving.
