Drop?

No, what I meant was, does someone who upgrades to aftermarket rims have to in turn drop their car? I want aftermarket 19's, but i am not a big fan of dropping my car. With my stock suspension I have rubbed on speedbumps and some driveways, a drop would only increase this problem. If I purchase 19's and go with a 40 profile why would my gap increase more than the stock 45 profile?
