Factory Wheel Locks Question

I have the factory wheel locks on my car. I was never given the key to the wheel lock. Will my dealer be able to get that nut off without the key, do they have a universal key for it??

I checked in the jack area and did not find anything. Whould the dealer be able to get the lock off? I will be getting new wheels very soon and i want to have this problem resolved before they arrive.

If the locks were the usual Nissan-branded type, the dealer service dept will have all the possible keys. They should also be able to tell you which key code you have and maybe assist with ordering one for yourself.

i've never heard of the wheel lock being stored in the trunk. from my experiences, dealers usually put them in the center console or in the glove compartment.

and yes, the dealer will be able to get them off.

i did a search for a friend who lost his key. this should help.

I'd advise that you put sonr rags or somthing around your rim where you are swinging the hammer so you dont miss and damage your wheel. Good luch.

It cost me $20 for taking it off and $30 for the new set.

Living life thru chemistry..........or did you look in
the glovebox for the key?

I went to the dealer, and they told me I could order locks by quoting the number on the package that came with my original locks. Since I couldn't find the package and didn't want to wait a week for the new locks to come in, I just had them remove the locks from my car with a master, and bought new ones.

I wont lose thes new ones!

Well the wheel locks come with a ziptie and instructions to attach it to the factory lug wrench, which is why I assumed most would be in the jack area, but everyone stores it in a different spot I guess
