Question Toyo Proxes T1R vs Yokohama ES100?

Summer right around the corner and I am stuck between which set to get.
Anyone have experience with either? The toyos are about $50/tire more then the yokos, but Ive heard good things about the tread wear on the toyos.

I've been using toyo t1r in my car for about 6 months now and treadwear is great with almost no road noise. I only notice minor road noise when the road surface changes to cement such as an overpass...

i had bf goodridge g-force t/a kdw before and those were starting to develop some road noice after 3 months of use.

I love my T1R's I had Falkens before and the Toyo's are quieter and ride extremely well. I have only had them for a month, but I have been extremely pleased.

Not sure about the T1R's but I have the Yoko ES100 and they are getting pretty loud now.

T1R's FTMFW! The yoko's arent bad tires, but they're prone to loudness and they arent near as sticky as T1R's and will last about the same.

i wouldnt expect to get more than 20k miles out of any set of tires on the G, coupe or sedan. Especially if you're lowered even the slightest bit. Unless you have a full front and rear camber kit and almost zero out the camber.

I am very happy with both sets of my T1-Rs

I'll be sitting on them for a while until something better comes around for the same price.

My vote........none of the above!

My Michelins have been soooo good to me there's no way I'd use either of
the tires suggested. A year before I sold my Z I purchased a tire package
with 5Zegins/Toyo T1R's. The first time I went thru a corner and hit water
I was sideways and that had never happned with my Michelins because they
never let me down! You'll never see "entry level" tires on any car I drive!

T1R's are anything but entry level tires and not everyone is looking for a pricetag that comes with ps2's...

Always wipe down the tires with some orange blast to get the mold release compound off. T1Rs are one of the best wet weather tires out there. So much so that alot of the lotus guys use them for wet weather track days.

yeah the michelins are a little bit on the pricey side. I think I'm going to be going with the toyos and hopefully those will do the job. thanks for the input guys.

I had both-T1R is better tire in all aspects, from handling to comfort. Wear seems to be about the same.

ps2

ran me $1500 installed, mounted including a 10% discount in Dallas, TX.

This is my 2nd set. They lasted only 18K miles last time.
