Quick Q: Coupe wheels on a sedan

Good evening,

I did a search through the last year of posts but I didn't see this answer. Sorry if it is a repeat or a very simple question but I want to make sure.

I am looking to replace my OE 2003 17's on my sedan with the newer 17 or 18 inch 7 spoke wheels. I have seen some of the couple wheels for sale and it looks like all 4 wheels are 18x8 but the tires are 225/45/18 Front and 245/45/18 Rear.

Is that stagger ok on the 03 sedan?

Thanks!

They will fit fine w/no problems with the stock coupe tires if you're not lowered. IF you are lowered then you will need to go with a lower profile in the rear to keep from rubbing. You're eventually going to need new tires so when you do, i'd go with a 235/45/18 or 245/40/18 all around so you can rotate the tires.

how about if your sedan is on unrevised Z springs? will the rears still rub on stock tire sizes?

They might. What is the offset on those rears?
Worst case just roll or cut your rear fenders.

18" OEM coupe rear wheels are +33; fronts are +30... im more concerned about the rears than fronts

ive seen sedans with Z springs and coupe wheels, but i just dont see that offset working with the z susp and coupe wheels AND the stock tire size which i have on my current set of wheels... want to know before i actually pickup a set...

here's my car as it is now on 18x8.5 +45 all around...

A +33 18x8.5" with a 245/45 should fit without rubbing issues.

thanks... i think im just gonna pass on the purchase of coupe wheels for now... i really want my 19" volks so the $ saved will just go toward that... and i know for sure the 19s wont rub with the offsets im going with...

Ok i have been looking into this also since all for wheels are 18x8 with a offset 0f 30mm and why are the rear tires a 245-45-18 and the front are 225-45-18.why cant all four be 225-45-18 . are the rear wheels any wider. the reason I ask is because I have for 225-45-18 tires and are still like new so I am seeing if I can do theat instead of buying new tires.

They are staggered for the coupe. All the wheels are the same width and offset. You can use 225/45/18 all around no problem
