Bolt on the rotor

I took my wheels off today and on the front rotors you can see a small bolt that sticks out. Does anyone know if this bolt has any purpose? One guy told me it was so you couldn't install the rear rims in the front. Is this right?

yeah, it so only the front wheel will go on since the stock tires are staggered. Just remove the bolt if you're going aftermarket.
