350Z anniversary rims on 2007 G35 sedan?
First car I have owned in 15 years. Wanted to change the appearance of my G and give it a sporty look but I question the quality of many aftermarket rims, and not ready to spend 3-4k on a set of Volks or the like.
Don't particularly like the 7-spoker OEM wheels on my G35 sport. I am more of a 5-spoke guy and the 350Z anniversary rims fit that bill and have some personality to them and give me the reliability and quality of OEM.
Offsets for the G factory rims are 50mm rear (18x8.5) and 45mm front (18x7.5).
Offsets for the 350z rims are 30mm (18x8) rear and front.
My question is:
Will I be OK with the 350Z rims running the factory tires 245/45 18x8.5 (rear) and 225/50 18x7.5 (front) on 18x8s all around?
The outboard on the rears is 14mm and 21mm on the fronts.
The inboard on the rears is 9mm and 26mm on the fronts.
I have looked at numerous tire/wheel calculators to get these numbers but I am still not completely comfortable and don't understand (newbie ) the ramifications of those changes.
In no way do I want to adversely affect handling or increase wear on suspension, steering or wheel bearings, etc.
All thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated.
TIA

You will have no problems mounting the 350z 18x8 wheels on your 225/245 tires no adverse affects in handling the sidewall height will not change and your car is RWD so the .5 inches of extra rim in the front will not affect your VDC etc... I'm not sure if the 350z comes with tire pressure sensors but your factory sensors should fit if you chose to keep them but I'm not 100% sure on that. As far as the offsets are concerned us 1st gen owners haven't had any problems with the G35coupe and 350z +30/+33 offsets and neither will you worst case if you chose to lower your car you may need to dial in some extra negative camber for the +30 offset but the +33 should be fine.
