Question on Tire sensors

When upgrading wheels, how are you guys doing with the sensors? Does it blink, lights up the signal when using aftermarket wheels with no sensors on it? I'm buying a new set but it's already mounted and I really don't want to take both sets apart to get sensors from stock and put on new set.

Re: Question on Tire sensors

I didn't bother either. For two weeks after the new rims were on I didn't get a light or anything... then one day, all of a sudden, the light was there... then later that day, the light was gone. And I haven't seen it since. Weird huh?

No idea why it is like that, but I don't care at this point. Maybe when I get my new ECU they can just disable that.

This car is really a big computer constantly analyzing stuff so it is near impossible to make sense of it.

Doubt I helped but thats what happened to me.

J.

Re: Question on Tire sensors

thanks for posting it. Does it just stayed on or it was blinking and making noise?

Re: Question on Tire sensors

Where are the sensors located, inside the wheel? And are they a wireless sensor?

Re: Question on Tire sensors

They are located in the valve inside the wheels. You could switch valves with new set and take to the dealer for re-calibration. They charge $85 for all 4.
