A girl needs help with new rims!

So being new to the whole world of having a nice ride, I now need help with choosing the right rims and tires. I tried searching through the forums for some answers but it all seems foreign to me. Right now all I can say is that i have the OEM 18" rims and Nitto tires. I would like to have 19" but have no clue as to what to look for. I dont want to pay more than $2000 for the whole set also. Please guys, if you have any suggestions about where to buy and styles, help a sista out!!

your budget is the limiting factor. check out the vendors in the marketplace, find a style you like, and get some quotes. there are cheaper copies of popular wheels, but usually you get what you pay for. they'll point you in the right direction.

you can get some used 19's for around that without tires... you get what you pay for!

Ok ok. I get it now. I will have to pay more. No problem. I checked out the marketplace and of course I have no idea what to look for. I am also thinking about lowering it. Would that pose any problem with 19"?

look for the style and finish you like, ie 5-spoke, mesh, deep dish, etc...and polished, brushed, chrome, black, gunmetal, etc...
maybe if you showed some pics here of what you like, we can point you in the right direction

depends on how much lower and if you want just springs and/or dampers or a coilover. you will most likely need a camber kit if you go lower than 1". you can always browse the wheels/suspension section for ideas.

thats a bit of a hike... i was going to suggest that you go by one of the happy hours that the NGC (National G Club) has every thursday. that would give you a better idea of what you would be interested in.

I grew up in Hampton VA not that far from VA Beach. With Ivory pearl you can go with pretty much any color style rim you want so with you having no idea it's going to be hard! I would stick to buying your rims/tires on the internet if you go to one of the rim/tire shops in Norfolk or Va Beach you are going to end up with something everybody else has. I'm sure you know what I am talking about... So do you want chrome, Gold, black or silver? check out this link
