Alignment after Plus sizing

Query didn't get any love on FA. Thought I'd post at the dedicated wheel/tire/brakes forum. Thanks

Was curious to know if an alignment is required following a plus sizing. I'm going from 215/55-17s on stock 17x7 inchers (+45 offset) to 234/45-18s on 18x8s (+45 offset). What has your experience been?

Thanks

Re: Alignment after Plus sizing

I would think that since the overall diameter is a match for the stocks, the alignment shouldn't require a change.
