i know i should have just asked the dealer, but do volks come with caps? i ordered 18 X 8 bronze for my sedan. also, i ordered +40mm offset, this is optimal i believe for the available offsets... can any sedan owners back me up?

also, volk owners... do people steal volk valve caps a lot? because i daily drive my car, and i regularly have emblems and valve stems and anything imaginable stolen (i go to school in the ghetto... downtown los angeles)

Some Volks do not come with center caps. They're an option and for the most part sell for between $25 and $40 a piece.

As for the valve caps, well if someone wants em, they're gonna take em!

What can you do? Nothing much, other than tighten the crap out of them to deter the youngens from walking off with them and ending up on their 10-speeds...

Or, you can take them off everytime you park and put them back on when you get back... lol

i take off my clear corners and put in the amber ones when I park my coupe for long extended periods of time, ie theater, mall, etc.

call me paranoid...

Phil, just curious.. What are you doing with your Giovanni's, selling I assume?

 

dr, I have heard the horror stories about people ripping off clear corners and yea it does suck big time! There is however an easy and effective way to keep them in place and no its not the zip tie or the glue it in place method. I have devised a technique to place small metal washers and push pins behind the clips of the clear corners, that keep them in place. You cannot pull them off, without removing the pins that retain them. In order to get o the pins, you need to remove the mud/splash guard, which makes the whole process a little more time consuming, hence a theft deterrent. I will post pics and more info for those who are interested...
