Kumho Ecsta ASX vs. Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position

I am looking to replace my 215/55/17 EL42's with 235/50/17's. I live in Michigan so I need
an all season tire. The Bridgestone's are only $130 dollars more for a set of four over the
Kumhos. Any opinions?

If you need this tire to perform in the winter

1) Why are you wanting to go to a 235?
2) The Bridgestones seem to have great reviews on tire rack.

If you're willing to spend the extra money on the RE960AS pole positions then i would definitely do it. I've been running these tires on my 20's for a couple months now and i love them. They are great all season tires, they never let go in the rain, i dont know about light snow because i live in California. But they perform great as well, i was kind of worried going to my first canyon run with these tires, especially coming from Bridgestone S03's... but the 960's didnt let go of the road once and i was very pleased with the performance.

I run the Kuhmo ASXs and I love them. But then again I've never tried the Bridgstones so i don't have a feel on em'.

Okay...I saved $150 and got the Kumho's. It's amazing what a mortgage and a baby on they way forces you to do. It's just a commuter car for me anyway. Thanks for the input.

Don't worry. You'll be happy with the Kumhos, they are excellent tires, especially if your commuting a lot.
