Will it fit?
Re: Will it fit?
I'd been advised not to put anything wider than 225/50 on my 16x7" rims on my old E46 BMW, so going even lower profile to 235/45 on stock 17"x7" rims (same width aluminum with sport package, just like my BMW sport package) is certainly beyond anything that tirerack would recommend. My 225/50 tires on 7" wide rims did bloom a bit, but were stock and protected the rims from curb damage
Also, 7" * 25.4 mm/inch = 177.8 mm, so your rubber would be almost 30 mm overhanging on each side (maybe only 22 mm past furthest point of aluminum depending).
Probably best not to try it

The sport rims are 17x7. A 235/45R17 tire requires a 7.5" wide rim. You can put 235/50R17 on there, or 225/55R17 or 225/50R17. Officially, Infiniti recommends not going wider than 225 in the front. Unofficially, I haven't heard of any problems with 235.
