clean and protect new wheels

what do ya'll recommend to protect RacingHart rs-721 wheels, machined black finish. I don't know if its anodized or powder coated or neither...i see people talking about wheel wax or mothers polish...let me know what ya'll think..trying to protect the shine and lip of wheel.
