M45 to G35 wheel swap, Offset Question
M45 to G35 wheel swap, Offset Question
Have an opportunity to pick up a mint set of M45 Sport Wheels for $999 with tires tomorrow 6/9/2007
I've read through countless threads about how the offset for the M45 wheels are +50MM. It seems everyone speculates and no one has a definite answer on the exact offset.
I know that the rear will not rub only appear slightly tucked in. I have a 2005 G Sedan and wonder how badly the front will rub without spacers. I prefer not to use spacers if possible.
Of the G's that I've found on this website with the M's wheels installed I've noticed the majority to be '03 and '04 models. Since the '05 and '06 models introduced a larger wheel combination, what are the chances of the M45 wheels rubbing on my '05 Sedan?
Pls no flaming (I am very familiar with the search button) just anyone with a solid answer.

The H&R spacers that I found are $60 a piece. So that's an additional $240 on top of the price of the wheels. Not to mention I have zero equipment for the install which means taking them to a shop and pay more $$.
I guess I am a cheap bastard but I want to come out of this paying as little as possible.

sorry i believe for the G you absolutely must use spacers up front. the tire is basically right on the suspension otherwise

I too have a set of M45 Sport rims going onto my 07 G35c. I still have not found where to buy the spacers, but I want 40 and 45 mm spacers. I don't know if that means I need to change out the wheel studs or not. Any ideas?
My question, will the TPMS still work, or do I need to take the TPMS out of my stock rims to keep the system?

I know the dealer will have to program them to my car, but will the actual TPMS work or do i need to take to ones out of my current wheels?
