Cold Brakes

6 degrees this am. I pull out of my garage, brake - hear this wailing-like sound. Shift into drive, go to Stop sign and hear it again. After that no problem. Coming home tonight, 6 degrees again, heard the sound on the first brake. Is this just the cold?

Re: Cold Brakes

Probably, especially if you have some moisture where you are!

Re: Cold Brakes

Thanks, I thought so. We got 5 inches of it last night.

Re: Cold Brakes

I have always noticed weird things like that with my cars when it's that cold! I notice this time of year too, that if I wash my car late in the day, and then it sits in the garage all night, my brakes make weird noises while still wet the next morning, on all my cars I've owned!
