Dynamic of Tire Feathering

I was hoping someone could chime in on the tire feathering issue. My fronts are feathering pretty badly. The more I look at it, I can see that on the inner portion of the tire there are areas the are worn down more than others. I am not exactly sure why this happens, I would think the whole inside of the tire would wear faster due to the camber. At any rate, can anyone explain or tell me which level of treadwear should be the closest to the rest of the tire? Is the wear excessive in the low tread areas, or lighter in the high tread areas?!?!

I am asking because my brother has the tools and know-how to tread and work on tires. He cuts a lot of the tread on his race tires (dirt late model) etc etc. I was thinking it would be possible to knock (grind) down the areas on the inside of the tire where the tread is higher than the rest to even it all out, this would even the inside of the tires all to one tread level, and I would think eliminate the roaring. Does this sound like a good idea? The only thing that would worry me is if that lower tread is excessively lower than the rest of the tire, it could be greatly reducing the tire life. I will try to get a better picture showing the overall landscape of the tread. This is the best I have for now-

You need a good alignment. cutting the tires is just throwing money down the drain. You must have some negative camber which will result in the insides of teh tires getting worn.

yeah, negative camber and there arent any alignment kits for the new 07 sedans yet, so I cannot align it into spec.

It has nothing to do with you camber, so don't worry about that, that is just gonna wear down the inner tire. It is feathering because your toe is way out on the front and rear wheels. You need a very good alignment, not some firestone bull**** or something. Take it to a speedshop that can do alignments for lowered and performance cars.
