Hi,

I had put on a set of 19" wheels and tires on my car yesterday. Afterwards the VDC system kicked in after I hit 25 mph. I ended up driving the car home with VDC off. Half way on the drive I hit the VDC back on and everything was fine. Has anyone else had a simular situation happen to them? Or does anyone know what the problem was?

post some pixs of your rims. they looked pretty good in your trunk. lets see them on your car.

 

I went with 245/35/19 in the front and 275/30/19 in the rear. Wussup axiochris! I will post the pics. hopefully later today.

You will have VDC problems, because the tire size/combo you picked has the same outer diameter, front and rear. The VDC is designed for a 1" stagger, the front OD is 1" smaller than the rears. You should have gotten 235/35/19 and 275/35/19 to maintain the stagger. Most tire shops don't understand this. If you can, you need to exchange the rears.

Should I be worried about driving it right now? The VDC isn't kicking in anymore.

245/35/19 and 275/35/19 is the correct. You will have no problems.

g_ryde - I would run with VDC off until you change those rear tires.

Well, the funny thing is that my friend had this same set up on his G35C and never had anything wrong happen to it. I'm thinking bout taking mine in to the dealership to see if there's anything wrong. Here is a pic. of my car............

nice setup, how low did those tein s-tech springs drop your car. looks like a nice drop from the picture. how much of a gap do you have with your wheels?

 

Yeah, I used the S-Techs. I was debating between those and the Eibachs. I'm glad I got the S-Techs though. I feel like they gave it a perfect drop and it rides like stock. Well, at least till my shocks wear out.

yo g_ryde, u work at extreme dimensions dont u? i was there a few days ago with ym friend in a RSX to get a front lip. saw yours and another real nice G35. mine was unfortunately parked at home.

 

Yeah, I do work for Extreme Dimensions. When did you come? Steve had told me someone swung by last Friday to pick up a CF wing for their G35C. Was that you? If it was, my car wasn't there, I was out for a meeting and a photoshoot with one of our cars.
