TPMS question

So over the weekend I bought a set of 350z wheels to use as my winter wheel/tire setup ($150, couldn't pass that up). They only came with 3 of the TPMS sensors, so I'm wondering about getting the 4th.

If I get a Nissan/Infiniti TPMS sensor off ebay, will that work? Do all 4 have to be part of the same "set" in order to work? I really don't know much about the sensors, so any advice would be appreciated.

You can only have 1 set programmed to your car at once, so there is no need to get a new sensor unless your plan on getting your sensors reprogrammed by the dealership every winter/spring when you swap wheels. Just deal with the light in the winter, and keep your stock sensors in your OEM wheels for the rest of the seasons

Ahh, I see. Cool, thanks for the answer. I'll have to tell the wife not to freak out when she sees the light on for a few months!

same sensors on the same wheel location, should not require programing.

Ok, so the dealership has to program the sensors to the car?!?! I just bought a new set of 18's and sold my 17's... the person I bought them from said the sensors were still in the wheels (I don't know for sure though as it was a tire/wheel combo)... before trying to buy new sensors, is there a way to check that the wheels I have on the car have the sensors in them and maybe just need to be reprogrammed to the car?
