damn another 700 hundred dollars

okay so ever sinse i bought my 20 inch rims last year. i have been replacing my rear tires at least one tire every two months due to a slow leak or an all out flat. At first i was told it was because of the cold air at night would make my tire pressure get low, and thus i would drive and the rims would rub up agaisnt the sidewall causing me to get a slow leak. For the last month i have been puttin air in my rear passenger tire because almost every 3 days i would notice it getting low and it would always be on 11psi when i started refilling the tire. Last night i was driving home from the city and i went to put air in it as usual and i normally fill it up to 35psi, but at around 30 psi the tire blew up????? than when AAA came my driver side tire, which didn't have any problems all month, was flat also so now i have to replace both rear tires. STS is the only place in my area that can order me tires and they cost $345 each. Now i know of the line you have to pay to play but what about the rest of you riding around on low pros.....do your tires do this as well. (the leaking and blowing up) Also do you pay this much for tires too and is their a way to avoid all this maybe something i can put in the tire like some gel or something idk? Its not really the money issue. Its more of an annooyance to be filling my tires with air during the summer and always checking the psi. Im running toyo tr1's in the rear my front tires have been the same tires since i bought the rims bout my rear tires definately are lower profile.

That tire didn't blow up while you were near the car did it? Glad your okay. You may want to check your vavlve stems as mentioned above. Also 700.00 for two tires seems steep. I paid 700.00 for all 4 of mine.

i dont know why they are so expensive but thats what two places qouted me and sts was the only place that gets them in on same day ordering. I was standing right next to it putting air in than the tire started making some poping noises so i stopped putting air than it blew up

Sounds like either something is wrong with your valve stems or your tires might not be the right size. Glad you weren't standing there when the tire blew up.

Excessive Tire Purchases.....

[QUOTE=fabulustt7]Nitrogen huh?....is that safe?[/QU
Knowledge is power! Nitrogen is part of the air we breathe and what our
upper atmosphere contains. Now you're smarter than a second grader!

When you have the next set mounted have them checked for leaks, they dunk them in water. One of my Volks was leaking,
the reason was stickers on the inside of the lip so the tire wasn't seating
correctly causing a slow leak.

Dude check into getting road hazard. That 15 bucks a tire will save you a ton of money.

dude do u live on top of a mountain? The air pressure can't change that much. I'm not a weather man but during the day it's fine and at night all the air leaks out.. maybe one of ya girlfriends letting the air out hehehe

Take your wheels off, and spray some soapy water on them from a spray bottle. Even the slowest leak will create a trail of tiny bubbles.

I had a 1psi/day leak from a nail, and created an obvious trail of bubbles. If you're loosing 5psi/day or more, it will probably look like a bubble bath....
