Falken tires

I had to replace my rear tires yesterday. My G has 26500 miles on the stock Potenza's. I drove in rain a few days ago almost lost it big time realized rear tires are bald. So I got 2 Falken 452's 255/40/19 from discount tire for $190
a piece I got the lifetime warranty so total was like $440.00 installed. Was that a good deal? I was in a rush to replace since my tires were bald and its been raining here for the last few days.

What kind of Falkens did you get? I have a set of Azenis on my RX8 and they are great tires, a little heavy & def not a winter tire, but great on the dry road.

I may consider the Falken 452's as well but want to keep it close to OEM size. I'm having difficulty finding the right sizes for both front and rear with the Falkens. Is 245/35/19 Front and 255/40/19 Rear with the OEM 19" the only setup I can go with the Falkens without affecting the speedo and overall performance?

I may just stick with the Toyo T1R's I'm looking at with the OEM sizes 225/40 front and 245/40 Rear...

Working off of my last post...is this the correct setup on the OEM 19" and the best price for the Falken 452s?

that is a good price. I love the Falkens btw driven about 150 miles so far and
i am impressed. Btw i would see if they have 235/35/19 for the fronts
instead of 245's. If I'm going to upsize 10 mm rear I'd go 10 mm wider in the front also. Just to keep things as close to stock as possible. I would rather add spacers than put to wide a tire on the rim. I dont think Falken makes a
235/40/19 I think all i've seen are 235/35/19 in the FK 452's. Good Luck with
your search and you'll love the Falkens after riding on the stock Bridgestones.

is it ok to have just the falkens on 2 wheels and the other 2 potenza? Is that gonna throw off the VDC?

good price IMO. I've had my 19" Falkens 452 and find them noisy compared to my old 20" Toyos T1R. I'm going back to Toyos for sure.

The comparison between these two brands confuses me because I have read the same things for both in this forum, Toyos noisier than Falkens and vice-versa.

I may go with the cheapest and so far the Falkens win in that regard. I assume I won't be seeing that much difference in terms of performance between the two.

^^+1 I've had Falken 452's for about 5k miles now and I don't think they are loud at all. lots of grip and comfort even though I have 20's. 245/35 & 275/35

Keep your tire height and you'll be good. Stock is 225 not 245 up front.

I have about 2000 miles on my 452 Falkens, and I'm surprised at how good they handle and how quiet they are. Nice stuff.
