Spacer Questions

I am interested putting spacers on my wheels and have some questions:

What setup is recommended for 19" OEM wheels?
How much of a difference does this make in driving quality?
I have read it's best to replace the stock bolts, is this true and what size do you replace them with?

Thanks

There are many different companies that make spacers for our cars. You need
to search and look at others rides to see how aggressive you want to go. It
also depends what size tires your running on the stock rims as far as how much of a spacer you can use without rubbing the fender. Personally I upsized
my rear tires to 255/40/19's. So I am probably going to go with a 15mm
spacer front and rear. That will make my front +15 for now. My rears will be
+25 over stock. I am not lowered btw. If you are lowered you need to be careful you don't go too wide or you'll have to roll your fenders.

I had 25mm spacer in F & R and these made flush with fenders. Sideeffect to the look was you get ride softer. I"ll be posting some pics on marketplace section soon.

Make sure the hubcentric rings are sitting flush against the OEM hub. One of mine wasn't, the gap caused vibrations in the front wheel, eventually 3 of 5 lug nuts fell off (realized it before I got on the freeway), and one extended lug from the spacer snapped. That particular hubcentric ring was chewed up pretty bad, had to take the front spacers off. I had Project Kics Spacers, great quality, just one of those freak mistakes, still have my rear ones on.

How do spacers give you a softer ride?
