Need Tires Help!

I went to the dealer for 26k service today and they said I need 4 new tires. Service dude quoted me $110 for 4 wheels alligment and $1900 for 4 tires + tax. Is that the right price? I ask him if the tires is going to be like the OME 19" (thats what I have) and he said no. I feel like the guys is trying to rip me off because he said he could buy the tires for me first. Anyone has any suggestion or better pricing? I am in L.A 626 area. Thanks in advance.

haha... wow... i never heard of anybody ever paying $1900 for 4 tires, even at msrp. They must be some super duper JDM tires or somethin. You shouldnt be paying over $900 for tires, ever!

find out what kind of tires and check the price on tirerack.com or your local tire shop like costco or discount tire...Even at $250-$300 a tire for the Michelin Pilots, that only adds up to $1000-$1200. What would the extra money be for??? I know, PROFIT!

I just purchased 4 new tires for my sedan today. The sizes were 235-35-19 and 265-30-19 from a local tire shop that is known for unreal prices.. I paid $530 mounted/balanced out the door for them..dunno if that is good but i thought it was.

RUN and do not look back. $1.9K is WAY to much. You can get really good tires for $250-300 each. Check tirerack.

Yeah I think the PS2's run in the high 290$ range. And that was the most expensive tire I looked at. I'm going the RE01R route for about 250$ a pop.

If someone is concerned only with dry performance (which I am) then yes you are correct. But there are cheeper quieter alternatives out there. I just wanted to throw out a price.

Thank you. I like Michillin tires.

Are those tires look anything like my original stock 19" tires?
