HELP! Any Tire Warranty?

Well basically i was driving around last night "doing about 40 " when the car started to pull to one side. i stopped the car and pulled over when i looked at the tire i noticed a long cut that went around half the tire on the side wall. so now im like what did i hit so when i took the tire off to put on the spare i noticed the same type of tire damage on the opposite side of the tire. now my question is (A) is there any type of warranty on the tire and (B) who is responsible? is it Infiniti OR Michelin

yeah, look in your manual. Mine says to see a local authorized michelin dealer for tire warranty claims. Michelin does warranty the tires for manufacturer defects. You might try taking the tire to an authorized michelin tire dealer. If they determine it was defective they will probably pro rate the price of a new tire for you.

Re: HELP! Any Tire Warranty?

I have a gash in my RSA's. I was unsure if it was driveable because it was about 1" long but all the way down to the tire. I took it to the dealership and they told me that it was not covered under warranty and wanted $200 for a new tire and labor. The mechanic took a look at it and said it was driveable.

This is no Road Hazard coverage that comes with the oem tires. If the cut was cause by hitting/running over some external object, then you get to buy a new tire. Sorry.

Re: HELP! Any Tire Warranty?

Keep an eye on this one guys. When I had my 97 Eclipse Spyder, it had the same problem. Turns out it was an issue with the tight suspension, and the low profile stock tires and it was a known issue to Mitsubishi. But they never did anything about it, never fixed it or offered to do anything about it. Just said it was due to the suspension/tires and that's the way it was. Never did cause any problems, but you could see obvious cracking going on on the sidewall of the tires.

Re: HELP! Any Tire Warranty?

the dealer sells tire and wheel insurance for $500. If you get a nail, etc. you'll get a new tire or if your rim bends (pothole) you'll get a new rim. I never buy insurance like this, but I've had 2 flat tires this year already so I picked it up... I think there's a $50 deductible.
