Tires

Own my first G coupe and need to replace the factory Michelin tires. I have not been impressed with the M's....any advice on replacement tires? I would like a little better ride, less noise, and better grip in the rain.

Bridgestone RE-960AS pole position. Better tire, also not as expensive.

Has anyone tried the Goodyear Eagle F 1 All season tires?

there's nothing wrong with all season tires, depending on where you live and your driving needs, some people have to have them.

The Bridgestone RE960's are just as sticky as any high performance summer tire and they last longer and handle great in the rain.

The car is a high performance car and the insurance said if you pull all seasons or regular tires and you crash because of the non high performance tires… insurance will not cover you… i really dont know thats what i was told

whoever told you that is full of crap. Maybe if you put some cheapo tires on the car, then i could see that. But as long as the tires are speed and load rated for the car, doesnt matter if they're made by joe blow, they cant say anything.

Have a look at the Michelin PS2's, but to be honest, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better gripping and handling tire than the Pilot Sport - they are top of the line tires. But you should realize that ultra high performance tires in general are noisier, ride hard and don't last long. I would make sure that whatever you choise has the same or better load rating as the Michelin PS's, otherwise handling will suffer.

i have 3 sets of tires. Michelin PS2's, BFG KDW2's, and Blizzaks for the winter. I switch back and forth between summers depending on what im doing. I like both but if I had to pick I would go with the BFG's for summer.
