Will 17x7 +40 work on a 06 coupe (6mt)

the oem acura rims have a smaller hub bore and offset is way too high, so no it will not

I don't think the offset is too high. The stock rims are 7.5 inches wide with a 30 mm offset. So 7 inch wheels with a 40 mm offset would mean the wheels would be positioned a total of 3.65 mm closer to the car. That's nothing.

Your math is wrong, the difference is 16mm. It will look goofy, but the offset will work for that width. The problem, as mentioned by az1anbeethoven, is the hub bore being too small on honda/acura applications for our nissan hub bore. The OP is probably better off selling the RSX wheels and purchasing OEM 17" coupe/sedan wheels

Please explain how my math is wrong. You added 6 + 10, but you were suppose to subtract 6 from 10. The stock rim is 12 or so mm WIDER than his Acura rim...that means that you subtract half of 12 (which is 6) and SUBTRACT that from the offset.

Are we talking outer wheel position or inner wheel clearance? The acura wheels outer position will be 16mm sunken in more from the outer position of the stock wheels, with 4mm less inner clearance. I think we were talking about different things

the offset will fit, but will you want to put a 17x7 +40mm offset on your coupe?

Yes, I'll be running spacers soon though so it won't be THAT bad, my SSR's are about to get stored for winter as soon as I clean them up

I couldn't pass up the price I got them for, $125/4 in perfect condition without tires, although I've been looking for OEM coupe wheels for 4-5 months with no luck locally
