Where to go to test wheelsize/offset I can run MAX ?
I want to run my wheels with maximum lip. Probably is, I don't have a stock car. I have a widebody car and I want to know what is the widest width and offset I can fit on my car? Where would I go to find out? WOuld I have to contact one of the wheel companies to measure my car? or do I have to go ask people if I can try their wheels on my ride? I believe the fenders are 2 or 2.5 inches wider than stock. Stock form, I had a 19x9.5 with +35 offset with rolled fenders so I'm guessing I can run about 20x10.5 or 20x11 with +28 or +25 offset or something in that area? please help me out wheel experts !! thanks in advance
you can use a ruler to measure offset/ rim width based on a known value, like your old wheels or stockers. simple google search will come up with many hits on how to do it. old school muscle car guys have to measure offset all the time for their custom cars. not rocket science.
