Wheel Fitment with Brembos

Hey all, new owner here and I noticed in the threads that people have had wheels not fit over the Brembos that come as an option on our cars.

Mine has the Brembos and I was trying to find out what wheels do fit?

I was looking at some 18x9.5 +30 at all four corners. They are the 5 spoke Nismo replicas.... don't hate because I am cheap...

So what size/offsets will def clear the brakes or is just really about the design of the spokes that determine if it will clear?

Hello and welcome to G35driver.com. The offsets are what determine what wheel will clear your Brembos. The +30 should be a perfect fit. But just out of curiosty why not just go with a staggered set up such as a 8.5-9.5 in the front and a 10-11 in the rear?

welcome. i have the brembo's too. that should clear, but anything higher you'd probably need spacers... Hi-Tech is right though, you should go staggered

I don't like how a staggered setup feels compared to having them all even. I had an S2000 and had a staggered setup on there... After 2 months I bought new rims that were even all the way around.

So would a +20 or +25 work as well? Which way does the offset compromise brake clearance.
After having a Honda I like that I use a deeper offset and want to make the most of it lol

The face of the rim also determines whether a particular rim will clear the Brembos.

The lower the offset the more aggressive the fittment is. For example an offset between a +20 and a +25 is perfect for the G's with Brembos. Anything below a 17 will really make the wheel "stick out". Also lowering the offset sizes makes for more "lip appeal" to assist with the width of the rim. The higher the offset the less lip and space you have to clear the Brembos

+++ super duper 1000,

I'm still trying to find out the exact spacing difference between brembo's and non brembos.

spacing-> distance between the face of the hub from the spokes which is not accounted for when you see offset figures.

So if I get the +20 offset and it does not clear the brakes I could get 5mm or 10mm spacers and be fine?
Or should I go with +30 so if I need the spacers the wheel won't stick out past the fender?

You should pick rims that you know will fit. Any manufacturer or dealer that knows G's and Z's will be able to tell you with certainty whether the wheels will fit.

Do it right the first time so you don't need spacers.

you shouldn't need spacers with the 20 offset. they'll clear the brembos... I think you'd need some spacers if you go with the +30. Make sure you get spacers with longer studs, if you get them

A low offset number doesn't automatically = clearance. A buddy of mine has Work Varianza wheels in 20 x 9.5 +10 front and 20 x 11 +10 rear but even with a +10 offset, they won't clear Brembos or any other big brake kit.

By comparison, the stock 18's are 18 x 8 +30 and obviously clear the Brembos.

Well they are Nismo spoke replicas so if the Nismo in 18x9.5 +20 will clear Brembos then so will these... do you know if the Nismo's will clear?

For those with the coupe with oem NON-brembo calipers AND with the 7-spoke oem 18s,... i need a really huge favor.

You may need to roll the car a little so that one of the spokes is right in front of the caliper. I need a measurement from the face of the non-brembo caliper to the one of the spokes on the oem, preferable in millimeters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
